undecided what to do at the mo .... tune up my 1.4 8v high torque or fit red top.

does anyone know how much power you can get from the 1.4 (realisticlly without going crazy) as I do like the fact that its a light engine and I can still go round corners properly

also how much of a pain is it changing from an 8v to 16v ?

no point pissing money on a high torque...

if you wanna stay small block get a 16xe or an 18xe1

otherwise do the c20xe

150 bhp 1.4 8v, do-able with a few grand, 150bhp c20xe around 1k including engine

i might have some bits here if i get a new car soon mate i live in bexleyheath too got x16xe and x14xe if you wanna stay small block

hmm I might be interested in the x16xe , thats a 16v right? is that a ballache to fit?

I just want a bit more poke from it .... Im not gonna go for crazy power as my install weighs in at 25 stone so its never gonna be a race car, but it would be nice to be able to beat a poxy 1.25 fiesta zetec

to be honest most of the weight is the build itself not the speakers/amps look at the drop of the rear wheels .... its still on standard springs

I was worry about how much boot im going to have left after 1 sub and 2 amps

yea the boot is tiny on these ... thats why I lost the boot and the back seats ... handy side effect being I don't get asked to take the mrs shopping so much now
