How Do,
Is there any way in which I can connect my PC up to my TV so I can use the TV as a monitor?
Moving out soon and i've not really got space a desktop PC so am going to buy a laptop. Dont want to get rid of the desktop so was thinking of just using it as a hard drive for music and films etc.
Basically it would just be the tower under the TV, then a wireless mouse/keyboard when needed.
I'm sure its possible, just no idea how

decent graphics card and a VGA connector should do the trick. You'll have to run a seperate cable for the sound.

Cheers.
If I was just going for the sound option i'm guessing I would need to upgrade the graphics card? Just get a sound cable and run it from the PC to the TV or whatever?
Would be nice to watch downloaded stuff though, so if I upgraded is at easy job?
I've literally no idea about stuff like this

If you tv has a VGA input port (most moden(ish) flat panels do) then just run a vga from your graphics card to the vga on your telly. For the sound, 3.5mm trs to 3.5mm trs(headphone socket) to go from your soundcard to tv

Cheers folks.
Just been looking on line and seen a couple of You Tube videos on how to it and its more simple than I thought
Just another quick question, cable will only be going a short distance, guessing I dont need to be spending loads and a cable from Maplins will do?

eBays £1.29's finest!
