I honestly dont think anyone who can quote 2.5 hours has ever done one, there was a thread on the TT owners club a while back about times quoted for cambelt replacement from various main dealers.
The times ranged between 3.5-5.5 hours.
As the engine mount is very similar to the late golf pd's, ive got them down to just over 3 hours with renewing the waterpump..now i know exactly how to fiddle the lower mount/tensioner.
But to be fair i have only done 10 tops.
