I'd have the Sharp, decent enough spec for what you want

This! The V10 is a decent panel Although shop around as i have seen it for £500ish. Also do you really need a 100Hz screen? You could get the S10 or X10 for £100-200 less. And i would try and have a viewing with both.

best thing to do is have a look in the shop. I was looking at the V10 a while ago but really couldn't find anywhere that showed it with a decent enough demo to show what it can do.
The contrast ratios aren't directly comparable as the manufacturers all have different measurements.
I ended up with a 40" Philips by pure chance (bargain on gumtree) and absolutely love it. Make sure you're happy with the blacks and vivid colours.
