Can somebody do me a favour and measure the length of the pin which plugs into the headphones socket?
I had a headphone adapter so I can plug my normal headphones in and it snapped, I've got another one now which is slightly different type but it won't push all the way into the phone, so either the one I have been sent is wrong or there is part of the old one wedged down the hole still

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS_connector bit more information on the headphone connector.
e71 uses a 2.5mm with 4 connectors, left audio, right audio, video, ground in that order from end.
They are a standard so if yours doesnt fit all the way mean something is jammed in it.
length is 14mm
