I'm thinking underseal, cover and wax. Any other suggestions?

you can buy invisible plastic coating that stops stone chips from certain companies.

a lot of people who have vx220's have these on the air intakes/arches iirc, same with focus rs'.

Use it.

Seriours, My nova has been parked outside (No cover) and its got really bad all round.

Just cake the underside in underseal and find a decent cover (Most people end up using tarp), and use it on some half dry days lol

Underseal, car cover from http://www.classicadditions.com/ and a few coats of Collinite wax.
