Approx 75% of all taxes go into the welfare state, if you can reduce the spending on the welfare state you can increase the spending on the roads!

it's very easy to say that, but in the current world, there are so many rights and stuff that it's never that simple. 30-40 years ago, if you did something wrong and was arrested, you'd be lucky if the policeman didn't give you a good hiding. Nowadays they get away with it and it happens a lot more than it used to. The current world has too many 'terms & conditions', too many human rights etc.
