As the title says.
My mate and I bought the 'legal' pressed plates with all the bs stampings etc for our private plates when we were at Ultimate dubs.
Parked up in town at 1AM (45 Minutes Ago) in my mates car, traffic boys do laps of the town most nights.
They pulled in and tryed to give my mate a fine for his plates, until he pointed out they were marked etc, the copper told him he'd check it out and get back to him as they were under the impression any embossed metal plates were illegal.
Anyone else had any issues? My private reg is on retention ATM but i've had a couple fines for silly small plates with my private reg and dont want to risk losing it should i fit these pressed ones when i allocate it to a car.

Aslong as it's reflective I don't see the issue, but I'm no expert

If they are reflective, spaced correctly with correct font and have the right markings (postcode and BS stamp) then they are legal. Tell the policeman this nicely, also tell him that a few companies have been working with the DVLA and VOSA to create legal plate

They are legal but as usual most of the boys in blue are still under the impression that all pressed plates are illegal and you'll get hassle for quite some time

I have them, never been stopped for them, afaik they are legal as they have all the markings and are reflective etc and correct font but if people are being really picky then they should be illegal as the font is modified by it being raised but mines been through numerous mots with pressed plates on and nothings been said and been past/followed by loads of police .

If you search on Google for them, then the Dubmeister site is quite far down the list as it is overtaken by pages and pages of forum posts of people complaining about the same problem!

they would lose too much money from fines for not having proper plates, and from speeding tickets from front facing cameras there would probably be more people stealing petrol as they tend to have cameras on the front of the car lol.

who wants embossed plates anyway, surely the normal "flush" ones are cooler as they are smooth
i don't get this modifying game, seems to be no rules

I bought the dubmeister pressed ones from regal in southampton as one of the kids in there is connected to the scene world. £32 for both and they are fully legal.

I failed the most picky thing on my mot, but my pressed plates wasn't one of them. I have also been stopped by police on random checks, and had nothing said about them. I have ben followed numerous times too.
Mine as pressed but instead of the "D" at the sie I have "UK" no other markins at all

Down to each individual, if the plates can be read by eye and by the police scanning technology i dont see why there should be an issue.
Ive been through two mot's and followed and stopped a few times and nothing was said.
