Vibro, did I say anywhere that the car mystically stays cool on its own? NO
I clearly said above there are two ways of keeping something cool. Blowing cold air on or sucking it away.
I hate it when you have to repeat yourself for thick people ROFL

You could fit a low temp fan switch? Then have your heaters off

my xe didn't have a rad fan...Got one from a 1.0 corsa...nice and slim, just fits in...

Yes, it's very rare mine goes over 90 whilst driving, C20LET's are better performing at high speeds, the block design and head design was specifically altered to run better and withstand extra heat, 6months before production was due to commence in Belgium.
However when your idling in a traffic jam, the temp will obviously rise till the fan sticks it's nose in.

I got an air con fan off a calibra for mine, really slim, fits perfectly in the housing for the old fan too, i just chopped the old fan out and this needs 3bolts to sit perfectly, i was happy

ive got a corsa x20xev ok its not turbo but ive got a 1.2 rad and never had heat probs and i have no heater as its fully stripped once done over 4 miles at over 100mph and it sat at just over 90
just get a new 1.2 rad mate so you no it is not full of shit and all will be good
