hi recently bought corsa breeze shell with the intentions of putting me sri 1.4 16v lump in. however got the chance of a 1.6 sport engine fully rebuilt with lightened and balanced flywheel and a set of cams,so bought it few pics of engine,also beenpainted looks alright so heres a little thread for ya

gonne get engine ready to be put in taking the gear box out as got one that came with the engine wich has apparently been messed about with ie. 1st,2nd,3rd for acceleration,n 4th n 5th for top end

looking fairly clean heard the engine running sweet as a nut,and drove it, not with the modified gearbox as lad just swapped engines

checked this against my flywheel on old corsa and mates ther engine definally been lathed like,you can feel the difference in throttle response too

well am not putting the sai pump on as the bit that attaches to the exhaust manifold has the bolt that retains it has snapped of so gonna weld the bits that let the channel the exhaust gases out,if ya know what a mean

two welded so far need grinding flat so gonna weld rest then grind flush apparently ya cant weld these as they cast ,seems to be welding fine using arc welder and 2.5 rods

all welded and ground smooth should be enough to stop gasses coming throughto front of manifold

nice work was the breeze shell an 8v?? as I have one and was thinking about doing the same.

yeah it was a 1.4 8v shell matey peice of .... to fit wiring all plug and play only chew a had was lining the engine to the gear box as a pre fited the gearbox...mistake ended up fitting gearbox to engine and fitting lot in one go. havent drove car ye as needs two tyres + one flat so all should be well
