I have a 1995 corsa 3 dr with 16 inch alloys 195/45/16 et 40 and i was wondering what springs people would recommend for my car.I think a 40mm drop would be about right.Could people recommend what makes to go for.Cheers

Due to the wrong offset of the wheels you'll need arch work to avoid rubbing.Get a full kit(dampers&springs) if you can afford it,cause as far as i know the uprated dampers are more stiff then the original corsa ones and the ride quality will be much better.A lot of people on here use the Gmax kit(250 quid i think).i.e. My friend drives a corsa with BBS 15inch alloys(ET38),koni adjustables and eibach springs.He had to set the dampres in hard mode in order to avoid the rubbing against the rear arches,and he still gets some rubbing going over bumps and when he drives people in the back.

i have std shocks, 16" wheels with 195/45/16 tyres, lowered 40 mm on pi springs, ride is ok, not to hard, and not to bouncy either.
Think ill eventually get sum uprated shockabsorbers near the end of the year (when i get sum £ saved, after the rest of the bodywork and ice etc etc is done)

a kit comprises of shock absorbers and springs which are made for each other, as using aftermarket springs on GM/vaux shocks will fuck the shocks in no time, then u will have to upgrade - worth gettin the matching shocks at the same time if possible

I've got a similar problem....
ET38 195/45/15. I've got uprated shocks though. I'm looking to drop 40mm too.
Anyone advise some springs?

I would go for a 40mm drop, should stop you from getting any major problems, if you do then because of the distance between the arch and the wheel a bit of work may need to be done or just when you are carrying people then go slower.
I am dropped 60mm on 15's 195/45 ET45, get no problems and aint even debolted.

really? I know they having problems not being equaly matched, and tend to sag but breaking coils, not heard much of that

depends on how hard you drive your car.
if your buying the springs just for the lowered look then your ok, but under force they break easier than others.
