I know its wrong section, but need a quick answer, fitting coilovers tommorow, and need to know what the bit on the right is




I know the bit on the left is for the rear springs, whats the bit on the right?

Top mount fella.

Put that on after the springs.

On the front? They are all built up etc, and this bit was seperate, well confused :S lol.

You need to remove the bearing from the stock corsa front top mount spring retainer and fit it into that top mount.

Hmm, i helped my mate fit a set to his C last weekend, his came built up with that part on as the top mounting.
And then bolted it up using the original part that holds it in.

That doesnt look right, is that not the bit that goes on to hold the strut in place.

Thats what i was thinking? thats why im so confused guess hes just put it like that to hold it all together whilst in packaging? :S

Guess i remove the black bit (which looks like the top mount from under the bonnet) and put on the shiny bit as you said, then the gold nut and washer hold it in place, then slots through, and black nut holds on under bonnet side of top mount???

I think so, its late so dont quote me. But i defo fitted the shiny top mount to it all from memory.
Should explain itself once you have the old unit off
