Basically i want my car to sound a little louder, cos all i hear atm is the wee engine ticking away. Is there any way to mod the original exhaust, for example removing a part or drilling a hole or something? I want it to be a subtle and sporty noise, not just a boy racer racket.

either take back box off and replace with a sportier tailpipe or take centre box out and weld new pipe in 2nd one not sure if itd make a standard exhaust any louder

What engine/model do you have?
The backbox off a 1.8 SRi will add a bit of noise, then you can fit a straight through if you want more.
