Applied for a job a few weeks back, they gave 12 interviews out of 367 applicants... I got one, went quite well and they said they'd invite the 3 best candidates a days trial... just got a letter basically telling me I was the 4th best

so close yet so far!!

it was a commercial diving traineeship, they did say i'd be contacted again if another role came up or if the successful candidate wasnt up to scratch... heres hoping!!

So did the other 8 candidates. I doubt they said sorry you were 5th, 8th, 12th best etc...

Have you done your courses etc to meet the standards? Best mate is a commercial diver at pine wood studios

Nope, the role was to spend 2 years with them working from the boats and basically learning everything you possibly could without actually going in the water, then when your ready they'd pay for your HSE which is a full 9 week course to become a qualified commercial diver.
