Hi i topped up my oil today as my friend said i had non in he put a full 4 lt bottle of 10w 40 in and after driving it for abit clouds of smoke started coming from my exhaust we realised we had put to much oil in my engine so we drianed some out and its still smoking. Will it just need to burn off ? or have i we broken something.

if you overfill them, it normaly spits it into the inlet, and can cause a puddle of oil in the air intake pipe that runs behind the engine, did it to my corsa for about 2 weeks took it off cleaned it and it stopped
