What goes through their heads when they decide to go dressed like this
Do they really expect to be taken seriously like this
(Random pic I got off Google!)

They've no intention of working and if they turn up dressed like that the job centre will give them a form to fill out which they can take to the shops and get new clothes for free. I get them all the time at my work, sometimes worth £200+ per form.

Why would it matter what he goes dressed to the job centre like? They're not the potential employers. If he'd gone to a job interview like that on the other hand...

I have seen this. Some people turn up in comeplete tracksuits have ago if they have to wait more than 30 secs to see one. Generally talk really quiet in a deep voice in "hard talk"

Probably so they can blend in with everyone else. It's not like the Job Centre expects you to dress nicely is it?

Last time I went to the job centre I went in jeans and a t shirt, felt over dressed.
Then sat down and over heard a woman asking her son (about 16/17) if she could borrow a fiver off him till she got her dole money in three days.
I got up and left and just struggled penniless until I got another job rather than putting myself through that

Luckly, my local job centre is ok but the one in Bedford, OMG. Full of chavs outside smoking their rollups, looking like twats.

This is how it goes
your sign on time is at 2pm
You turn up just before 2, look at the computer for about 3 seconds and touch it to make it look like your searching for a job
Then you sit on ths seat, then women calls your name then you go over
This takes 10 seconds or less (No joke)
Where have you been looking for a job
You reply, the paper, the internet
She says thats fine, you then get your 124 next week after you sign on, its a fucking joke, these people should have there money stoped if the social genuinly think they are making and effort

psh. It's even worst at my local one.
they walk in, some of them are off their trollies, totally off their face. They group around the door, probably slyly stealing your mobile phone while you walk past them...and your belt. Then their name gets called out (if they turn up on time...which it's funny if they don't, they kick off), they go over...and it's like the people in there know there's no point interrogating them too much because they're useless scum, "have you been looking for a job?" - "yer" OK next person.
Think it was my missus went in there once and they was banging on about how they really wanted to get her work or something, idk, anyway, she said "what about him/them?" and the job seeker employee replied "oh, they're unemployable".
Thing is, even if they're kicked off the system, they'll get their money somehow, whether it's stealing or drug dealing or prostituion
