Anyways...these days it doesnt get dark till late...and its illegal to use horn after 11. So it really doesnt matter if its not working.
Maybe even, the Astra knows that its illegal and thats why the horn wont sound. . . . Or maybe not

My car did this and I found out when I needed to use it and it didn't work.
It is actually quite dangerous if you're not able to alert other road users to your presence. I wouldn't drive without a horn.
Mine was fixed under warranty, they told me that they replaced once of the control boxes behind the dash.

I've never used my horn to do anything other than alert the car in front the lights have changed to green. Any other time I was either acting like a dick or waving at my mate.

illegal if it's not in an emergency.
i'd say a child stepping out into the road was an emergency.
still, the kid shouldn't be out at that time

the horn fix is just to replace the wiring behind the airbag, its bit of a ball ache tho and lots of them suffer from the radio turning up when you corner with the lights on too. as for the cruise control you do program 3 ecu's on tech 2 and i havent had one yet that dint have the light function on the dash
