Would someone mind looking in their shop manual for the pin number of the
"Datalink" output of the ECU on a 96 or 97? It's the pin that connects to
the SIXTEEN connector in the diag box under the handbrake and talks to a factory diag

i have the gunson`s fault finder with the TEN pin connector

I'd doubt u would b able to read fault code off a 20dtl with gunson fault finder - common faults on 20dtl : Check oil level - lack of oil causes loss of vacumn from the vaccume pump therefore boost valve etc becomes inop
Check for any leaks from vacuum pipes/pipe ends split
Common fault on air flow meters - become contaminated with oil/water

the problem started with the ecu then would not start next day
i suspeted it was the fuel leak off pipe`s and fixed them and added
a small fuel filter to see if it was backing up , but it was not but still
will not start unless towed

injector seals r on the end of each injector/injector cap - easiest way to visualise it is imagine a 16 valve petrol head - the diesel injector is where the spark plug would b - however your engine only has one camshaft operating a series of rockers - therefore 2 replace the injectors requires the camshaft to be removed - removing the injectors using a slide hammer and replacing the seals on the injector and the fuel supply rail that goes to it (rubber o ring)

Your oil leak will be from the diesel feed rail that goes to the injector (rubber o ring)

Not quite as simple as u thought eh !!!

Fog lights are a wonderful invention - everyone wishes to see them, but only if the weather is clear.
Ensure that you switch them on and dazzle every other motorist.

Conversely, when there actually is fog, do not worry about switching on your normal vehicle lights, never mind your
fog lights. All vehicles are fitted with radar as standard to enable to see
your vehicle, even in the thickest pea-soup fog
