I'm 4 years in on my Corsa and barely started.

I've already spent roughly 150% of what I originally bought it for and as plans have changed, a few things I've already changed need changing again to suit their new application.

I imagine there'll be a good few years of work left in it yet and a lot more money to spend but I can't see me selling it

£1k for an M3 for a year, not bad at all!!

Running costs havnt been too bad either!!

i dont see how you can put a value on a hobby etc. everything in life costs money. i cant see that being a valid argument at all. but whatever.

im happier tonight as my car actually pulls straight again. its amazing what £14.50 can fix on a corsa.

Amen. I have probably spent about £6-7k on my Metro so far including buying it as a 7k mile minter. It doesn't feel right to put tatty parts on it so everything is bougt new or as new.

Saying that, I wanted a 2.0 XE Corsa, lowered with some 2.0 brakes. I ended up with a spec sheet car that I lost interest in as it wasn't what I actually wanted so it is broken for parts. Nice on paper but not wha I wanted. It would tear the arse out of my Metro in a straight line but as an overall package for what I currently want the Metro wins. Metros are shit though.

I'm content with mine, it's a standard 306 family car but it's a lot more convenient than the bus!
