I'm looking at buying a fiesta ST with full service history. I believe these are due every 12k or so but the one im interested in is sitting on 29K miles with no history. A bit of a stupid question but it would be possible to start having it serviced from say day 1 of my owner ship?

I put in two quotes, 1 was based on the ST and the other was for the 1.6 zetec s tdci and the ST came out cheaper to insure :S. both have the same details, just different car and model.

Of course you can get it serviced once you own it.

I'd ask the previous owner why they hadn't serviced it from new.

Have a look at the car then judge from there.

I've bought a car with no service history but it had clearly been looked after. history was just missing up until whatever point it was.

Just do a service as soon as you get it.

If the car has been abused in general though walk away.

i contacted ford about this and they said because its missed 2 services they can do a major one for £250. turns out the car is a cat d but was never mentioned in the ad or by person until asked, so im not going to bother with this one.
