Will be slow and boring.
Go for the CDTI 150 engine, they are very nippy and return good mpg as well

I was just thinking, for £7k you could get a decent condition C 1.8 SRi with low miles and a later model, i.e. getting on for '05/'06.
I've heard good things about black ones

Hmmm think the only vauxhall i'd buy now would be a Monaro & I dont think you'd get much of one for £7k!!

I drove a 1.8 sri 5 door astra when i was looking at getting a mk5 and it was slow, the sport button is a complete gimmick aswell.
