How do you check if a F28 is mechanical or electrical speedo?

there all electrical i think just f20 is cable

nah, cable f28's. can get electric f20 aswell just to throw that into the mixer

If it has a hole for a speedo cable then its mech electric ones run off the hubs theres nothing on the gearbox

From what I've read all F20s are the same but F28s come in either mechanical or electrical versions.

yeah they do, think LZ is mech and NZ is electrical. might have got letters wrong.

i have later coilpack c20xe engine,f20 so will it be cable or electrical?

f28 comes in mechanical drive and electrical drive. fact. you can tell in a calibra or cavalier if the clocks start from 0mph, its electric. 10mph its mechanical. the speedo pick up on an electrical box comes from the abs unit.

well my engine must of come out a cavy or calibra with it been coilpack so am not sure what to do about my speedo

if it has a cable drive unit then dont worry. no c20let's came with coil pack or is it an xe you are referring to?

yeah i got a xe coilpack engine and am going to be fitting my engine this weekend but am gonna have no speedo am not sure if its cable or electric
