The other halfs Macbooks hard drive died, wont boot etc and she got someone that know mac to have a look and he sid its deffinatly the hard drive.
I have bought a replacement hard drive and i have put that in. I have the two restore discs but when i put the first one in and boot to CD with the ALT key held down on startup all that happens is a mouse cursor appears, i can hear the cd spinning but nothing comes up. Does the HDD need formatting first and if so how can you do this ?
Any help would be great
