if some1 tried the tps or data protection line on meid say gtf your a bt customer so we are allowed to call you, pisses people right off

The problem is the TPS is only enforcable to companies calling from the UK so if its a foreign call center they don't have to comply.

I have recently started with a different approach, as soon as I realise I just leave the phone off the hook with them talking away, eventually they will hang up.

Quite funny sometimes hearing a "Hello, Hello, anyone there, hello"
