Our company did a similarly bad fail. We made a new multi purpose all weather instrument. And to demonstrate this they claimed it could work in a shallow bath. They dunked it, and it subsequently wouldn't switch on

My mate had a job selling double glazing & used to jump up & down on a sample frame to show the old dears who's house he had bluffed his way into how strong it was...........until he went both feet right through it!! Says he just picked up the now unglazed frame & walked straight out leaving about 1,000,000 broken cubes of glass in the womans carpet!!
