I have been driving a 09 plate Corsa Sxi D 1.4 and is it me or is the gearbox really stiff and the overall fuel economy on the car is shocking. The ride is quite nice and the stereo system is quite good imo although is it all Corsa D range that have stiff gearbox's it wont even find the gear sometimes or is it this particular one it is a courtesy car to replaces my VW Polo although I prefer driving that.

Might be different because its a diesel, but the box isn't 'stiff' on mine...

The only annoying thing are the indicators, and the seatbelt on the drivers side, hasn't got a "Stopper" so the buckle part is always on the floor.

Driven quite a few now and none have had stiff gear boxes.

SXi's return a poor mpg due to the gear ratio compared with the others!

Well it is a courtesy car with 11,000 miles probably abused for most those 11,000 miles . My mate was saying that his sister doesn't have this problem.

Is that on lease, who's it with, limited to mileage? The Ford Connect i have at the minute is due for renewal. Belingo's look about the best deal at the minute.

Personally I think it's just because you're used to driving a different car. I find a few things different when I drive my Polo then drive the Work's Corsa C, then I get back in my Polo and everything feels strange for the first few minutes.
