this sounds daft, but on the fifa south africa game it says it has the real strips that will be worn during the tournament, but englands is red with blue on it by the shoulders.
but the one theyre using for real has no blue on?

Pretty sure its just red with some white detailing. The old one had blue on the shoulders

yeah my new one is red with bits of white, but the update to the game shows england using red with blue-and game says its real strips.

On the game it has both new and old home/away kits. It uses the old ones during qualifying (which they used) and when you reach the world cup they play in the new kits. Englands newest is the plain red with white cuffs.
