I quite liked Spider-Man melding with the symbiote and was looking forward to seeing Venom proper with Eddie Brock in part 4.

Would have liked to have seen the Hob Goblin proper too.

This is kind of old news to be honest.

Sam Raimi declined directing Spidey 4 because of a bad script and the cast declined participating without Raimi.

Spidey will now be rebooted like Hulk, Star Trek, Batman etc.

It will feature a younger Peter Parker in high school and the kid from Percey Jackson was considered but did not get the role.

Sounds to me like this is going to be a disaster of a movie, especially if they're going for a script that is so bad it made Raimi turn down big bugs for what is a certain blockbuster hit.
