Im looking at getting a 172 but cant decide wether to go for the Cup or not.
Im tempted by the Speedlines and the weight loss but on the other hand the gadgets would be nice..
Climate, xenons and half leather would be nice!
Anyone got any experience of the two cars?
Cheers

Personally i would go for the non cup. I have just bought a 182 with cup packs (diferent wheels, suspension and seats etc)
Even with the extras like aircon, half leather, xenons etc, they are still a bloody quick car

I'd say non Cup if its gonnabe ya daily drive, if you want it for track days then Cup due to the lighter car.
My sisters owned a Cup for over 2 years now, haven't really had any problems with it at all.

I prefer hardcore cars tbh, no need for gadgets.
Either that or PH1

Don't forget no ABS
Go for the Cup. It's got two windows you don't need air con, the wheels are a pain the clean.

Cup! I like the fact they are rarer. I had mine to go on track though...

Whats the main advantages on the Cup?
Its not a daily drive as i have a van for work, its purely a weekend/evening drive car.
Track days you say? Hmm...

If its not a daily drive and you aren't fussed by gadgets then get the cup

Think the speedlines need a refurb on this one, the guy said they've started to bubble a little
Gonna go have a look anyway, whats the common things to look out for on these?

IMO the Cup is pointless! It might shave 0.5 seconds on a race track lap time but FFS all it is is bragging rights
My 182 with both cup packs/climate/ABS etc made it even more of a better car.

If it has a standard exhaust, the hanger likes to rust, thus the backbox falling off so might wanna check that.
