Hi all, quick question.
If a set of irmscher/MHW rear lights were letting in water, could I take apart, clean and put back together without breaking them etc?
Cheers.

Ok mate, I did mean that the water is getting into the light itself, not letting water into the boot through the seal. So there is just a rubber seal holding them together?

nope, only thing you can do it poor the water out through the bulb holders, put them on top of the radiator so there completely dry and then seal them properly to stop the water getting back in there

Um if they are letting in water then its the weather seal not the light itself so you dont need the take the light apartsurely. I have red crystal lights and mine just needed that doing which solved the issue.

Pour hot soapy water in them and let it soak for a while, then dry them out and seal them

Yeah, just been having a word with my Dad about it all. He said the same, if I can't split them, soak in some of this powerful cleaning stuff he uses at work. Gonna buy them I think. Unsure whether they will look any good on my car but will make money on them if I don't like them anyway.
