The fan switch is on a bung that screws into the radiator.

Old man is adamant the only wire on the radiator goes into the loom. There is no rubber bung in the rad, sounds like he's talkin shit tbh can you help maye

It goes into the loom because it's not going to be wired inline with the fan. It needs to go through a relay and a fuse first.

But there's no bung in the rad just a wire coming from the loom onto the fan motor

There is nothing coming out of the rad at all? I thought that they'd all be fairly similar. It's normally on the left side of the rad. On the 12v it might run off of the coolant temp sensor, though on the 1.2 16v Corsa I had I seem to remember swapping them over when I replaced the rad. (The 1.2 is very similar to the 1.0).
