Nah, it would be fine imo paul.

Our trucks have huge sign boards covering our rads/intercoolers, and it doesnt cause us any issues :/

because i'm looking at a ap2 (later model) front bumper, which has the grill part missing. So was thinking it could kinda detract from the hole

Without seeing pictures, can you not just get the grille and make it look nice

apparently if the grill is missing, it usually means all the clips are busted and it's impossible to re fit one again easily

I want the newer style front, but they go for so much money. this one is on ebay fairly cheap at the mo.

Yeah it'll be fine there - look where they put them on 206's - they're basically just above the splitter.

although this is partly true, it is still possible to fit a new grille, when putting it on you melt the grille and bumper together when the clips should be woth a soldering iron.

Doesnt your numberplate legaly have to be on the most forward point of the car?
