do you still get dissy engines are they all coild pak ones ??

Are these just as good as the older ones ???
i had a go in it the other night, it has a standard 1.2 exhaust on it still will this restrict the performance of the car much ????

I dont think they were made by cosworth, may have had the head developed by them, but even then, i dont think they did.

Are you not on about later ones being the x20xe, rather than c20xe?

Had someone not just fitted an early head because the original went porous?

Depending on the engine you may or may not get forged pistons, coscast head, dizzyless ignition, lighter crank etc. There is little to no hard and fast rule. Buy on condition and not age.

The difference between early and late coscast heads on XE's was iirc the size and the material the valve guides were made of.

Yeah, early heads had 13mm bronze guides, the laters are 11mm IIRC? I'm not sure if the later ones arebronze or not.

I've had both.

Coilpack engines run smoother imo, the only thing I don't like about them is the pot type flywheel.
