ive seen cylinder head developments work and its not very good. nor have i seen any xes running decent figures with their heads. there was a mk1 escort with a chd +1mm head, twin 48s, 1612 cams and SBD mani and it made 7bhp more than steW's at the wheels and its had a lot more spent. also a lad off PNG had a head done by them and wasnt happy after i had to re-spec it for him. safe to say ill be doing his next head.

whats the budget for the motor?

its either LET on phase chips or spend maybe twice and have a throttle bodied XE

mine was making 202 @ the fly with 45 carbs, mbe 3d mappable management, ported and polished head, wasted stem valves, qed 450 cam, solid lifters, pistons, dry sumped, lightened + balanced bottom end,sbd type c manifold etc and that was about a £6000 bill

I jst built at xe on r1 carbs, tle mani/ex, ported stock valved head, newman 270cams, rods + wossners and made 190bhp at wheels in a westy, almst 225 at fly.


Your spec shud off seen 220 at wheels, sumthing isnt rite with that, noway

Why wer the cams wrong? Ther sumthing like 294dur:s. Gutted you sold the corsa, you gona build a new toy soon?

was told that eother the inlet or exhaust needed to be changed and a set of bodies then should have seen over 250@ fly, had to sell due to no work and got an a4 1.8t quattro sport now so i'll do a few bits to that
