After taking my standard airbox off to fit the new one, i noticed there was a little circular thing on it with a wire coming off im guessing it was the vacuum advance? anyway, im guessing i need this on, but the new filter has nowhere for it to like go onto? im confused about this. Any help would be great thanks

im not 100% sure what engine it is other than a 1.4 8v  .
A friend told me it might be the oil breather and i simply need to get a new one?

Yeah i checked it, it did
Ive basicly just took the wire off the standard one and left it and put the new cone on
