I was having aconversation with my mate earlier who also supports Oldham (what's the odds on us knowing each other?).

Scholes has always been a Latics fan and has reportedly said his favourite players of all time were Frankie Bunn and Andy Ritchie (I saved a penalty against him when I was a junior Latic!).

Does anyone think he could end up playing for us or will he hang up his hat as a one club man?

If we can get promoted this coming season (unlikely) I think there is a slim chance.

The rumour is that Scholes, Giggs and possible Neville will retire from playing at the end of next season but continue in a coaching role.

I can't envisage him managing as he has always kept himself to himself and doesn't really do interviews.

It would be pretty epic if old cinnamon bollocks played for us though!

Is it possible that I have just witnessed yourself paying a Man United player a complement in a back handed way?

You have to respect the longevity of Ryan Giggs' career, how he finds time for his national passtime of raping livestock I will never know?
