Hmm, you might be on to something there Neil. I was considering using small paint brushes to do the intricate stuff as there's no way I'll be able to mask it the way I have in my head

I've been out again and have re-done the body, plus in the interest of getting it done for the weekend I've done the bumper blue for now. I need to get a decent height chair or something for outside as the worktop is quite high (it's just above a fridge and there used to be a washing machine next to it) as standing there painting these bits would kill my legs

I won't be able to lacquer it until Friday, but this is how it stands tonight:

There will be a bunch more pics when it's lacquered mate, then yet more when it's all popped back together

Then expect some of it at PVS

Cheers Adam

I'm not sure yet mate, there are a couple of other Vaux models that have wheels slightly akin to Softstars but they're something like £16 each so a bit expensive just for the wheels Might have to pop to the local model shop at some point and see what they have to offer.

Yeah the flash makes the flake stand out a bit, although Arden Blue is a pearlescent colour anyway so does have awesome shineyness in it

Lacquer is now on

I'll be the first to admit that the finish isn't amazing, I think I put a tiny bit too much on. It's hard to tell when you're doing it inside an unlit cardboard box Plus it builds up so quickly with it being a small surface

Anyway, here are the pics, there will be more tomorrow hopefully in better light after I screw it all back together.

Well here are my pics of it all together again

I don't know if it's because I put it together badly or if it doesn't fit together well because there's so much paint on it now, but I managed to chip some paint off when opening one of the doors Ahh well, I'll just have to show off its good side Anyone at PVS can see it for real tomorrow! Let me know if you feel compelled to have a closer look and I'll get it out the car for you
