hey guys, right, i knw youv probs had this Q a million times, but im going to look at a 98' b redtop tmz, engine has done 79k and is a later dispac engine, with f20 box, chris astley mounts, v6 brakes etc.

Other than checking usual oil and water etc, any thing imparticular to be looking for engine wise?

Any help would be grateful.

smoke coming out exhaust etc make sure its running right ie pulling properly not cutting out etc look 2 see ifd wiring id decent and not bodged

that lad said there was a running problem (acceleration) , but said he spent a day rewiring it all. And that sorted it. Do all redtops idle normally?

The 3 i've had, havn't had any idling issues.

I'd be warey about buying it tbh mate, get a shot in it and see if there's any flat spots whilst driving it / putting your foot down.

buying one that needed re registered wouldnt bother me at all. Its a simple enough procedure to sort out.

yeah but its still not a difficult process so it wouldnt put me off buying one.

any proof of mileage? if not it could have done 200+k

if its not running right and not pulling strong don't bother, there is many more to choose from, I did the mistake of buying a rough astra which turned out to be a shit bag

it had a new engine loom about a month ago. started up and sounded a good engine. not seen it other than then though. didnt smoke, no noises etc.
