This will be fabio's choice. I don't see why you wouldn't play an inform defender regardless of experience, he is playing week in week out in the best league in the world and comes up against some of the best.

So does Carragher though really. Granted Liverpool didnt play as well as Spurs last season, but over the last 5-10 years Carragher has been there and done it all. Dawson doesnt have a cap yet.

Has to be Carragher for me as well, Dawson as good as he is hasn't the experience Carra has.

Come on Ipswich!

You telling me he's the best we've got?

He looked dodgy at the back when he played against USA, poor infact

OK he'll be ok against algeria, but thats not good enough if england want to go far

It's a perfect opportunity to cap dawson in a game against a poor side, and see how he is

Why would Dawson get picked over Upson anyway, when Upson was part of the 23 and Dawson wasn't?

That's another reason why he won't fill in for King. Even though he has had the better season. I think it would of been a toss up between them before rio got injured and upson would of been chosen because he has the 'experience'

I'm expecting a minimum 3-0 victory if we are to prove we have what it takes to go far in this competition.
