By that I mean do you think Beckhams clinical ball could have put our attackers in better goal scoring positions? I know he isn't about pace and tackling, but you can't deny that he always manages to put the ball where somebody can put it away.
Would taking Bent instead of Heskey made much differance? We know we have good players that haven't delivered so would he have helped to give us the wins we needed?
I don't think Walcott has been missed, SWP and Lennon are more than capable.
Then theres Hargreaves and Owen, I don't see a problem with the midfield we have but would he have made much differance? I think a fit Owen would have got us goals too. As they are both injured I suppose they can't be brought in to it really.
Wild card, could Sol have hacked it?

If Bent went instead of Heskey, he'd of warmed the bench.
Beckham, possibly, always good for 20 mins of delivery.
Hargreaves, if fully fit would of gone, Owen was never looking like making it into the squad anyway.

hargreaves is a definite over bloody barry, he'd be one of the 1st names on the team sheet, and i think walcott tests defences more, especially coming on as an impact sub, his energy blows defences apart

Maybe so, but can the lad deliver anything at the end of it? No. His crossing is abysmal. He has the potential to be a massive impact sub, but he just isn't that.

Ashley Young or Agbonlahor would have been there before SWP and Heskey if I was choosing, there's a lack of genuine pace.

Agbonlahor was a shock.
Rooney, Bent, Agbonlahor and Crouch would have been a good 4 to take.
Certainly would have kept Owen out.

I can't help that thinking Walcotts pace and whipping in balls from the wing would have been useful in the last game.
The last time I saw him play for Arse he just kept smashing them in the from the right, by the sheer number of time he did it they scored.

Whipping in balls? Walcott can't spell cross let alone do it.

I dont understand why he insists on playing Heskey. The couple of chances hes had to score and hes made Emile out them.........
