The mrs has a diamond ring that she wants to sell, its an old engagement ring, was hand made for her & is canny nice, but i picked my own when i proposed.
We are moving & need extra cash, so i've talked her into selling it, but dont know where to take it? do normal jewelers buy rings? pawn shops, are these likely to give a decent price? iirc she said it cost near enough 2k, comes with certificate and all that.
Cheers.

What metal is the band? I'm sure most jewellers will have a look at it to buy?

It'll have had to be a well cut diamond if it's that size and worth 2 grand. Which is all the better for selling it I suppose. If she just wants rid and isn't in need of the cash, you can take it to a bespoke/custom jewellers and they'll turn it into pretty much anything you like, necklace, bracelet etc.

I went to 4-5 places in local town and see who would pay the most for my gold...
Do the same? Dont go to the adverts on the tele as you get half of what its worth!!
