I expect he'll need yet another operation which will take him to Christmas, come back some time in Jan for a game or three, then miss the rest of the season and retire next summer.

I don't know how I'd feel if I had just spent a year and a half sidelined, only to have it happening again. At least he can afford all the top price medicine, you know... Do it properly

Amen. Turn the clock back even 15 years ago and it was a VERY different story. I worked With Darren Beckford, he used to play for Oldham in the Premiership for those that do not know, I worked with him at the AA.
I bet he wishes he was born 10 years later, he would have been set up for life, even as a regular player and not a sick note player like Hargreaves.
Imagine what it would have been like for Hargreaves in those times?
I feel for people like Wayne Harrison (Cosmo may know the name?) who was signed from Oldham and was the Worlds most expensive teengager. (My mate looked the spitting image of him and used to have people coming up asking if it was him! :lol , he had some accident involving a greenhouse IIRC and almost died? He was apparently amazing but went on to work dropping off barrels for a brewery if memory serves me right? Very sad state of affairs, I am sure someone like Aaron Ramsey is already set up for life?
