does anyone have any pics of the brochure from 1993 so i can see which is correct standard back box for the early gsi. I know it rectangle end pipe but dont know if its same slash cut style as sri and sport
theres more than one listed for it at vauxhall for the c16xe so just trying to get right one
any help much appreciated

thoguht all the Sports/SRi 16v's ran the slash cut as you say, and the GSi the straight cut.
Both should fit though, and the early sport ones looks quite good I always thought.

i got the epc and its odd how it shows c16xe having two boxes when it was only available for a year before the x16xe came in

was going to say, the C16 was only out for one year.
But the rear cans are awful. Mine looked great on the outside, but the inside fell apart.
For a standard can, they didn't sound too bad either.
But both should fit, uses the same mounting and same sized exhaust bore

It's the same as the SRi 16v of the same year, the difference is that the later boxes had a circular pipe coming out of the box which had a square tip, whereas the early ones had the same profile for the entire pipe.
Think the later ones were also a two piece box, similar design to all the later Vauxhall stuff where there's a seem around the box where the top and the bottom meet.
The early ones were also painted black. Later are untreated.

Yes they're all slash cut on the tail, the end profile is very similar, early one slightly more square.
