To be honest I always have a good chat with people over the phone before I send money. Get friendly and you know they are more trustworthy. I think an idiot guide you have to read before trading. It may be worth deleting adverts if they are not providing a valid phone number, oh and dannys idea. I have suggested this to ian!

I prefer the current setup but do as you plan with the days before posting/posts.

Im not convinced itrader would work well, seems to cause some arguments.

It won't be iTrader anyway because it won't integrate to this forum, but why not feedback as a general feature?

I think there should be a feedback and minimum day thing, they should be help enforce good practise on both buying and selling.

If someone has a proven bad reputation for selling things, then it's better that's noticed as easily as possible.

Would be good if you could enforce guidelines on classifieds, e.g. location MUST be posted, pictures would be nice, but not necassary, although everyone in the world has a camera of some sort now, so doesn't seem too much to ask that if you want to sell something you post a picture of it.

For me personally, If I want to sell something i'll take a picture of it, only takes a minute and helps with the sale anyway.

Would also help Danny, Fonz, Jr and Yourself as you (in theory) wouldn't have to be trawling classifieds permanently, correcting the mistakes of lazy morons.

thing is with ebay you either buy it now or bid then you are locked into the sale then you are required to leave feedback, buying stuff off here you are just going on peoples words that someone intends to buy something, who decides when feedback should be left etc etc

I'm with that idea, should help reduce the number of scammers!

Hmm, you're right Steve.

And it might be a massive sweeping generalisation, but there's a lot of idiots and "funny" guys on here who would leave random feedback just for the hell of it.... (possibly) and immature twats who'd get annoyed and do it for no reason

I assume it only applies to new non-paying members?

If they pay to join do the same rules apply? I honestly can't remember if I had to put my address details in? (Actually, I don't think I did as it's not membership pack orientated?)

With 20 posts this might be a problem, but 50 is sufficient that they will see that and not be bothered to post that much.

Hopefully, it will also help find problem users with more than one username before they have a chance to post under a new name.

This is annoying on forums, most people will just write "minimum character limit" at the bottom of their post, or use some of the BBCode tags to get around it.
