currently in the gym 4 days a week, been wondering lately how many exercises per muscle group I should be doing
Im currently doing 3 exercises per body part for 4 sets (12,10,8,6 reps)
been doing this for a while now so Im thinking of moving to 4 exercises of 3 sets and fucking the 12,10,8,6 thing off and going for 8 reps for them all
thoughts?
I know the wording is appauling, apologies if you dont understand what I mean

I used to do a different body part each day:
Arms
Chest
Off
Back
Leg
Stomach/Cardio
Off
Then break down each day so Arms was :
Biceps
Triceps
Forearms
Shoulders
And then do 5 different exercises of each fo these for about 6-8 sets.
So Dumbells was :
Straight curls
Hammer Curls
Preacher Curls
21's
Standing Cable pulls.

Depends what your targets are, Strength, Stamina, Definition, Size...
I currently do 4 exercises for each large muscle and 3 for smaller ones(arms etc). I do 3 sets per exercise, Warm up, Medium weight(8-10 reps) Heavy(6-8 reps) and Medium again(8-10 reps). Pryamid Sets.
