Anything I can use to remove light scratches from car windows and mirrors?

On my car, there are some light scratches on some windows, and it looks like the previous owner of my car used a scourer to clean the mirrors

I'm sure I heard about using a polishing compound or something but I could possibly have got that wrong?

My other half has some rouge as she makes jewellery, do I just apply some on a cloth and rub for ages kinda thing?

I also have some Super Resin Polish in the garage too, I thought that was only meant for bodywork?

SRP will fill the scratches slightly, it won't do anything other than that though, might do to take the edge off them though.

The rouge is basically just rubbing at it, I think it would probably be a waste of effort though.

Hmmm... I might try the rouge and the SRP on a couple of small pieces of glass, see which one works the best.

Thanks guys.
