After I killed my CTR last year I declared it as sorn and thought nothing of it.

A year later today I have recieved a letter to tax the car

Does the sorn notice only last a year? Or does this mean that the person thats scrapped my car has maybe not scrapped it properly

When you scrapped the car, what did you do with the log book?

well ive declared it sorn again online so hopefully that will be the end of it.

Once a car is scrapped do you get a conformation letter like you do when you sell a car?

Yes. Everytime ive scrapped a car, I just ticked the scrapped box, sign it, send it off and you get a little slip to say thanks for declaring yoru car as scrapped.

SORN lasts a year, if its scrapped they need informing as such, otherwise they'll keep sending you SORN reminders every year.
