have to be really careful with "led" TV's aswell because alot of people get confused with buying a FULL LED tv and a normal LED TV which is really a bit of a con as it does not use LED's to fully backlight the unit.

It's a nice looking TV, until you see the base that's got all the bits in it so they could achieve such a thin display.

wow £7 grand not worth it imo rather have a projector

is the picture of an LED so much better than a LCD

also its nice being flat but is it really that much better shaving a couple of inches off the size

I don't object to the price of the glasses.
I just can't sit there with the glasses on watching progs/dvds for hours at a time. They would piss me off.

I'd say that most people who spend 7k on a TV wouldn't have many friends Tom.

OLED is the best picture imo, LG have produced a 15" model so far with OLED and the image is out of this world.

OLED is mega expensive though. I doubt it will be making it's way to 32"+ tvs anytime soon. Isn't Sony's 11" effort about 2.5K?

i think the 15" LG manufacture is like 10k or something stupid. Amazing stuff though, they reckon in the future they will have it on paper thin displays

3D is just another gimmick IMO. Can't see everyone sitting with glasses on watching Eastenders in 10-15 years time.

7k.

and also, you only need glasses "for now" they'll develop it so you don't need glasses soon enough, give it a couple of years. It's definitely here to stay now, and will be everywhere in the next decade or so.

iirc there's already some TV that work without the glasses, they have a bit of glass in front to change the image, only work from certain angles mind you.
