i sold my old 1.6 merit to a close friend but he wasnt to bothered about the logbook at that time and hes since sold the car on i cant seem to find the logbook :/ now the new owner is asking for it, how will i apply for a new 1?

Hang on, you sold a car to your friend and he didnt want the log book?? So you were still the registered owner, thus liable for him speeding etc etc

its not that he didnt want the logbook, he never asked for it straight away, and the car was garaged and stripped ready for track use so it wasnt going to be drove for a long time anyways
