Car passed the MOT fine with a slight amendment needed to the headlight alignment as it was too high.

Full service carried out to replace oil and all filters.

£250 lighter.

On a better note I booked a week away with the girlfriend in 3 weeks to Rhodes last night. Expensive couple of days seen as I'm paying for the holiday.

Near me loads of places do a minor service and an MOT at £99 all in depending on the model. I still don't trust garages to do things right though, rather do it myself.

Well the it didn't pass the MOT first time on the emissions as i do lots of short journeys and the car sits parked up Monday to Friday so doesn't ever get a clear out. So he put an diesel fuel conditioner through to clear it out. Service included:

1 x pollen filter
1 x air filter
1 x fuel filter
1 x oil filter
Oil
Engine flush
Diesel fuel conditioner
Clean and protect oil conditioner

Parts total was £119 +vat
MOT was £40
Labour £57 + vat

Done at a garage. Cars a Vauxhall Astra Sports hatch 1.9 CDTI (150) SRI
